Acre by Air

Booking terms

These are the terms for flights booked with Acre by Air, run by Alex DiChiara. Last updated October 29, 2026.

The short version: you approve a quote, I fly, and you get your files with an invoice. I keep the copyright. You get every right you need to market the property.

1. Booking

Your flight is booked when you reply "Approved" to my quote email. The quote lists the property, package, price, shot list, and flight window. Approving it means you agree to these terms.

2. Payment

3. Weather

I fly under FAA Part 107 rules, and I decide whether it's safe and legal to fly. Wind, rain, low clouds, and airspace limits can all ground a flight.

4. Access and permission

By booking, you confirm the owner has agreed to the flight, including takeoff and landing on the property. Tell me about gates, livestock, dogs, or anything else I should know before I arrive. I fly over the property being photographed. Neighbors' homes are never the subject.

5. Cancelling

6. The shot-list promise

If anything on your confirmed shot list is missing from your files, tell me within 7 days of delivery and I'll reshoot it for free. This doesn't cover things added after the flight, or changes to the property or the season.

7. Delivery

Photos come within 48 hours of the flight. Edited video comes within 3 business days of the flight. You get a download link that stays active for 30 days, so save your copies.

8. Using the photos and video

I keep the copyright to every photo, video, and map. Once the invoice is paid, here's what you can do with them.

For listings, the listing agent and their brokerage can use the files to market that listing while it's for sale:

After the sale, the agent can use the files in "just sold" posts and a past-sales page or portfolio. The seller can keep copies for personal use.

You need my written OK to:

For custom jobs, you can use the files to promote your own property or business. Reselling or passing them on needs my written OK.

9. My portfolio

I may show your photos and video on my website and social media once the listing is public, or for custom jobs, once you have your files. If you'd rather I didn't, tell me before the flight.

10. Property lines and maps

Property lines on photos and maps are approximate. They come from county records. They are not a survey, and they never show measurements to a property line.

Any determination of topography or contours, or any depiction of physical improvements, property lines or boundaries is for general information only and shall not be used for the design, modification, or construction of improvements to real property or for flood plain determination.

11. Insurance

Every paid flight is covered by commercial drone liability insurance. If a flight damages property or hurts someone, that insurance handles it, up to the policy's limits. If something is wrong with the files themselves, I'll reshoot or refund what you paid for that job. That's the most I owe for problems with the files.

12. The rest

Virginia law applies to these terms. If your quote says something different from these terms, the quote is what counts.
